Richard Cook vive y trabaja en Cornwall desde los años 1990.
Nacido en Chelenham en 1947, pasó su infancia en Ceilán. De 1966 a 1970 estudió en la Escuela de Arte St. Martín, en Londres y hasta 1973, en el Royal College of Art. Haexpuesto durante más de veinticinco años y ha sido premiado por el Bristish Council y the Arts Council. En 2001 realizó una exposición individual en Tate St. Ives, realizándose una publicación y siendo adquirida obra suya para la colección en 2006.
